“Before you leave home, make sure you are dressed appropriately. Check your local weather forecast to make sure you are dressed appropriately,” said Miller.
THP encourages people to ensure they have at least a half a tank of gasoline in their vehicle, ensure your vehicle’s battery is maintained, and keep a set of jumper cables or battery booster box in your vehicle. You should also check your windshield wipers to ensure they’re in proper working condition, check your fluids in your vehicle, and check your tires for tread depth and air.
If your vehicles breaks down or you find yourself in an emergency on the roadway, activate your emergency lights immediately. If you need highway assistance, dial *847 (*THP) on your phone.
