McNairy County declares State of Emergency

MCNAIRY COUNTY, Tenn. – McNairy County Mayor Larry Smith has declared a State of Emergency for McNairy County due to the severe winter weather conditions.

Smith wrote in the proclamation that Governor Bill Lee had declared a State of Emergency for the entire state earlier. Additionally, Smith wrote that the county has experienced “hazardous winter weather conditions that threaten public safety, transportation, utilities, and essential services.”

Smith declared in his proclamation that all assets of McNairy County are to be made available for response to the needs of its citizens.
