Jackson Fire’s fleet fitted with chains

JACKSON, Tenn. – The Jackson Fire Department has fitted its fleet with chains.

In a post on Facebook, JFD said the move was the first time in several decades the department has fitted the trucks with the chains.

The move was prompted by combination of snow, sleet, and the potential for the addition of freezing rain. Our hope is that our services are not needed but if they are, we are ready and prepared.
