Memphis man dies in crash at Arkansas rest stop

SOCIAL HILL, Ark. (AP) – For the second time in a week, a person has died in a traffic crash at an Interstate 30 rest stop in Hot Spring County.

Arkansas State Police say the latest crash happened Wednesday morning at the interstate rest stop at mile marker 93. According to a preliminary report, a driver pulled into the rest area “at a high rate of speed” and crashed into a parked tractor-trailer.

A passenger in the vehicle, 20-year-old Ori Hall of Memphis, Tenn., was killed in the crash. Two others in his vehicle were injured and taken to a Hot Springs hospital.

The driver of the tractor-trailer wasn’t hurt.

On Nov. 14, Terry Glendening of Hope died when he crashed into a parked tractor-trailer at an exit ramp leading to the same rest stop.
