Fatal Car Accident Claims Life of Madison County Woman

HENDERSON COUNTY — A Madison County woman is dead and another person injured following a crash along Interstate-40, early Friday morning. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says it happened around 12:15 Friday in the westbound lanes near milemarker 102 in Henderson County. Officers say Cheryl Purtee died when her vehicle struck a truck legally parked, in a parking area along the busy highway.
