St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Hold Mardi Gras pancake supper fundraiser
JACKSON, Tenn. — A local church program held a fundraiser and the community was invited. St. Luke’s Episcopal Church held their annual Mardi Gras Choir Fundraiser. All proceeds will go towards their music program. We spoke with the Director of music, Jeffery Hoffman who tell us about the tradition.
“So the Mardi Gras pancake tradition, pancakes supper is a big thing in the Episcopal Church. Every Episcopal Church that I have worked in has always had a pancake supper for this kind of thing,” said Hoffman.
The fundraiser was originally for a trip to England where the church choir would spend a week at a cathedral but it was postponed due to travel concerns.
