Benton County Sheriff Kenny Christopher announces bid for reelection

BENTON COUNTY, Tenn. — Benton County Sheriff Kenny Christopher has announced his bid for reelection.

“In announcing my candidacy for re-election as Benton County Sheriff, I want to express my complete gratitude for the opportunity to serve the citizens of Benton County. With 34 years in law enforcement, 12 years being your sheriff, it has been an honor to work for this community.

My team and I have worked diligently to keep the crime rate well below the national average. We patrol over 741 miles of roadway, and we prioritize the safety of our citizens, working tirelessly to address every need.

One rewarding aspect of this position has been the privilege to implement the following programs; Annual Toy and Coat Giveaway, Deer Meat Giveaway, Firewood Giveaway, Gun Lock Giveaway, and The Sheriff’s Pantry. Alongside these programs we continue to administrate the Litter Grant Program and the Tennessee Highway Safety Office grant program within Benton County. Each year these programs grow larger and promote rehabilitation to countless offenders.

In the upcoming election, I ask that you make an informed decision, ask questions, voice your opinion, and “Vote Smart.” From my department, family and myself, I would like to thank you for your continued trust and support.”
