Annual Jewel Awards recognizes the best of the best in local business
JACKSON, Tenn.–A night of celebration at the Carl Perkins Civic Center.
The Jackson-Madison County African American Chamber of Commerce celebrated their 25th annual Jewel Awards banquet, Saturday evening.
The event brought honorees from across the Jackson and Madison County to recognize the impact they’ve made on the Jackson community.
The executive director of the Chamber, Don McCorry spoke at the event.
“If you believe in our mission and the work that we do, I invite you to stand with us. Your generosity, whether tonight or in the near future, helps fuel our efforts in service, youth development, and equity within our community,” said McCorry.
Saturday night’s big winners include, The Ruby Award for Serenity Living Home Care, Erica Martin.
The Diamond Award winner was Taylor Medical Center, Dr. Mechelle Taylor Moragne.
The Emerald Award winner was Client Comprehensive Services, Clarissa Halton Williams, and The Jewel Award went to Turning Heads Hair Salon, Latasha Walker.
