National competition offers Gen Z entrepreneurs $25,000 and a live pitch opportunity
JACKSON, Tenn. — A new national competition is giving Gen Z entrepreneurs a chance to submit their ideas as part of America250’s commemoration of the nation’s 250th anniversary.

Student founders are invited to submit a written proposal and brief pitch video by March 31.
Submissions will be reviewed by an investor council using a national scoring rubric that weighs innovation, feasibility, market potential and team strength.
Thirty semi-finalists will advance to a live pitch experience, where 10 winners will each receive $25,000 and the opportunity to pitch live before the council.

America250 Chair Rosie Rios said the competition is aimed at early-stage ideas from the next generation.
“We believe that this next generation, this is Gen Z, is very ambitious. Very passionate. We know those ideas exist. We want them to go bold. We want them to really come up with these early stage ideas that are going to make a difference in the world,” Rios said.
The submission deadline is March 31.
