Dresden businesses invite community to shop the square this weekend
DRESDEN, Tenn. — Local businesses in Dresden are hosting a two-day spring open house this weekend, with special promotions, giveaways, and sales across participating shops on the square.

The event runs Saturday, March 7, through Sunday, March 8.
Businesses unite for community celebration
Dede Meeks, owner of Southern Grace, described the event as a collaborative effort among local business owners.
“As the city, we just kind of — business owners try to get together and kind of put together a little celebration, I guess you could say, for the community to come out and support their local business,” Meeks said.
Southern Grace is among the participating businesses and carries merchandise for teens, young adults, and older adults.
“Here at Southern Grace, we offer a wide range. We try to have a little bit of something for everyone,” Meeks said.
Shoppers can find new spring collections, door prizes, giveaways, and more during the event.
“We have swag bags that we’re going to be giving away. We have T-shirts, just various different pieces that will be given away throughout the day,” Meeks said.
Other businesses joining the open house include Claire-Brooke Consignment, which will hold a storewide sale, along with The Urban, Court Square Deli, Antiques on the Square, and E.T. Reavis.
Meeks said the relationship between businesses and the community is mutual. “It’s important for the community to support us, so that we can support the community, in turn,” Meeks said.
