Madison County primary early voting dates, locations set
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Madison County Election Commission met Thursday to finalize details for the upcoming primary election, including early voting dates, hours, and location.

Early voting will run April 15 through April 30, with no voting on Sundays. All early voting will take place at one location regardless of precinct.

“For early voting, it is all in one place. That is at the ag center, where it has always been, at 311 North Parkway,” said Lori Lott, administrator of elections for Madison County.
What’s on the ballot
“On this ballot is all county offices at the courthouse except for the assessor of property,” Lott said.

Early voting hours
During early voting, polls will be open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to noon. Two Tuesdays will serve as extended-hour days.
“Tuesdays are just our extended-hour days. We have two of those,” Lott said.
On those Tuesdays, polls will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Election Day is May 5. Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Anyone in line when polls close will still be allowed to vote.
Lott encouraged voters to take advantage of early voting.
“Well, it gives you a lot of opportunities to come out in case you can’t get here on election day. There are 14 ways you can get on an absentee ballot. There are a lot of different reasons. Early voting just opens it up for a couple of weeks for people,” she said.
