Pet of the Week: Major Tom
This week’s Pet of the Week from Tipton County Animal Shelter is Major Tom.
Meet Major Tom! Ground Control, prepare for launch, we’ve got a certified heart-stealer with serious Young Dog Energy.
At just 10 to 11-months-old, Major Tom is a mixed breed explorer fueled by curiosity, affection, and a little bit of rocket-grade enthusiasm. He loves meeting people (especially kids), greeting every dog he passes, and conducting very thorough “snack inspections” on his adventures.
This young cadet walks nicely on leash and will sit politely to meet new friends, but let’s be clear: he is still very much in his Young Dog Era. When excitement levels reach liftoff, he may engage in spontaneous happy hops and deliver a few celebratory kisses.
Major Tom has officially completed his pre-flight checklist. He’s neutered, fully vetted, and up to date on vaccines and prevention. He’s healthy, ready, and cleared for takeoff into forever.
He is curious, social, affectionate and lightly zoom-powered. He’s searching for a home that appreciates big love, big play, and a big personality.
Mission Report:
• Age: 10–11 months
• Breed: Mixed
• Neutered
• Fully vetted
• Up to date on vaccines & prevention
• Excellent candidate for a home with another high-energy dog
• Loves children (older, steady-on-their-feet kids recommended due to his enthusiastic greeting style)
Ground Control, the countdown has begun. Major Tom is ready to launch into his forever home.
