Remains found in Henry Co. identified as missing man

HENRY COUNTY, Tenn.— Remains found in Paris, TN, identified as man reported missing in September 2025.

According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, the remains discovered on February 14, 2026 in the area of Rison Street and Jack Younger Lane in Paris were identified as William “Billy” H Linn.

On September 18, 2025, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing person from 120 Jack Younger Lane. The person reported missing was William “Billy” H Linn. An investigation was conducted along with a search of the area which included the use of tracking, search, and rescue canines. The land search efforts were restricted due to flooding of the area.
On February 14, 2026, the Paris Police Dept. received a report of human remains being found in the area of Rison Street and Jack Younger Lane. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office did respond along with the Paris Police Dept. The human remains, which were located in an area not accessible on the initial search, were recovered and sent to the Medical Examiner’s Office for identification. On March 5, 2026, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office did receive notification from the Medical Examiner’s Office that the human remains found are that of Billy Linn.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office believes no foul play is involved.
