‘Keep Jackson Beautiful’ prepares for week-long Spring cleanup effort

JACKSON, Tenn.–Spring is almost here and the hub city is preparing for a city wide cleanup.

‘Keep Jackson Beautiful’ is hosting a week-long spring break cleanup from March 16 through March 20.
This initiative is a key part of the ‘Greatest American Cleanup’, offering an excellent opportunity for students ages 13 and up as well as college students to obtain required service hours while helping to keep Jackson a cleaner place.

“We’ll have everything that they need available. We’ll have gloves, we’ll have the vests, we’ll have the pickers, and we’ll have trash bags. We’ll also provide water bottles for them, so we’ll have drinks available for them and then I’ll also send all of this information to them in email,” said Shantell Hoefling, with Neighborhood Services for the City of Jackson.

Residents are encouraged to participate.
