Annual Heritage Thanksgiving Dinner Feeds Hundreds

JACKSON, Tenn.-Thanksgiving got underway a little early in Jackson, Tuesday night. The West Tennessee Cultural Heritage Association held its annual Heritage Thanksgiving dinner. According to organizers, more than 300 homeless and needy families were served from across the West Tennessee area. They said this event is more than a warm meal, but a way to show those in need that someone cares. “We want the people to come here and to take away when they go that there are those in this community that are genuinely concerned about their well-being,” said Herbert Jackson, event organizer. This is the ninth year that the group has held this Thanksgiving dinner.
