Rives VFD water-rescue team seeks donations for new equipment
RIVES, Tenn. — The Rives Volunteer Fire Department is the only certified water-rescue team in northwest Tennessee, with the next closest certified team located in Jackson.
The department has completed the required training and certifications to operate as a water-rescue team and is now raising funds to purchase equipment needed to support that mission.
Among the equipment identified is a Humminbird Xplore sonar unit, which the department said would enhance its search and rescue capabilities.
Rives Fire Department says that any contribution directly strengthens emergency response for the community. Donations can be made here.
