Tenn city sees temporary power outage

UNION CITY, Tenn. (AP) – Thousands of people may have run the risk of going cold turkey on Thanksgiving.
WPSD-TV in Paducah reported (http://bit.ly/18L9RPY ) that about 2,000 customers of Gibson Electric Membership Corp. lost power at about 11 a.m. Thursday. The outage hit both homes and businesses in the city of about 10,000 on the Tennessee-Kentucky state line about 60 miles south of Paducah, Ky.
Crews were dispatched immediately and power returned to those affected about an hour later.
