DOWNTOWN JACKSON — According to JEA, they have been the victim of a very sophisticated scam. JEA has now fallen victim as well. Please be aware that Individuals are calling around town (mostly to restaurants) posing as JEA employees asking for immediate payment dor past due accounts or declined accounts. The caller id shows “JEA” and our 422-7500 number. THIS IS NOT JEA AND IS NOT RELATED TO JEA IN ANY WAY. We will NEVER call and ask for immediate payment over the phone or ask for personal information. If you receive the call, please disregard or report it to the local authorities.
