Decatur County Schools names new DCMS girls basketball coach for 2026-2027
DECATUR COUNTY, Tenn. — Decatur County Schools has named the new Decatur County Middle School girls basketball teams head coach for the 2026-2027 school year.
Mr. Reed Keeton will lead DCMS girls basketball team this season.
“We are excited to welcome Coach Keeton to Decatur County Middle School. His passion for the game, commitment to our students, and strong ties to this community make him a great fit for our program. I am confident he will build meaningful relationships with our student-athletes while fostering a culture pf hard work, teamwork, and pride both on and off the court,” said Kodi Beck, DCMS principal.
Reed is a graduate of Riverside High School and continued his education at UT Martin Parsons Center. He is married to the former Halle Blackstock, and together they have made their home right here in the Decatur County community.
“I look forward to stepping in as the new DCMS girls’ basketball coach. Ms. Jackie Arnold and Coach Dawson Jowers will be helping me. We want to build a hard-nosed, aggressive, and relentless basketball team. We want everyone to see how hard a group of girls can work to get what they want. We really look forward to working with a great group of student-athletes and parents. I hope our hard work and dedication to the game and to this community will show in great ways soon. Look out for DCMS girls’ basketball. We will be doing lots of fundraisers in the community pretty soon,” said Keeton.
