Medical emergency prompts Shelter in Place at Madison Academic

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. – Students at Madison Academic High School were put on a Shelter in Place order on Monday morning. School officials said the Shelter in Place came as a result of a medical emergency.

“Instead of students changing when the bell rings, they stayed in class to allow the emergency response folks to not be impeded by hallway traffic,” said Greg Hammons, Public Information Officer for Jackson-Madison County School System.

As our crews were arriving on scene, they saw one ambulance leaving the scene and one Madison County Sheriff’s vehicle.
