Baby born at 22 weeks, weighing less than 1 pound, goes home after 129 days in NICU

DUBAI (Gray News) – A baby who was born at just 22 weeks, weighing less than 1 pound, is finally home after spending 129 days in the NICU.

Kings College Hospital Dubai said baby Talia’s journey is “nothing short of extraordinary.”

“Born at the very edge of viability, Talia’s care required precision, resilience, and a team dedicated to achieving more than survival, but the best possible quality of life,” the hospital wrote in a Facebook post.

Talia is now home and “stronger, thriving and surrounded by love.”

According to a Stanford study, only 28% of babies born at 22 weeks survive.
