Becky Jean Ellis
Becky Jean Ellis, age 89, of Jackson, Tennessee, passed away on April 22, 2026.
Born on May 7, 1936, in Jackson, Tennessee, Becky was the daughter of the late Paul and Lorene Lowrance. She lived a life marked by dedication to her family, her community, and her faith.
Becky devoted many years to working as a kindergarten assistant at Pinson Elementary and South Elementary Schools, where she touched the lives of countless children before retiring in 1996. She found great joy in spending time with her family, especially playing golf together, and proudly worked at the Masters Golf Tournament for 19 years.
A faithful and active member of Pinson United Methodist Church, Becky shared her love of music by playing the piano, occasionally throughout the years and more regularly in the final years of her life. She was also a dedicated member of the Pinson Ruritan Club and United Methodist Women, reflecting her deep commitment to serving others.
Becky is survived by her loving daughters, Anita Tucker (Don) and Teresa Eubanks (Alan); her brother, Doc Lowrance; her cherished granddaughters, Beth, Teri (TC), Julie (Ben), and Mimi (Lucas); and her beloved great-grandchildren, Raylan, Tucker, Lane, Macy, Hope, Faith, and Luke.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Ellis; and her brother, Jerry Lowrance.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at George A. Smith & Sons South Chapel, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Ridgecrest Cemetery.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Tennessee Quality Hospice, Melissa Kirk, Heather Johnson, Shakeita DeBerry, and the many devoted sitters for the care and support shown to Becky and the family during her final days.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Becky will be remembered for her kindness, her servant’s heart, and the love she poured into her family and community. Her legacy will live on in the many lives she touched.
