Doris Maxine Kyle
Maxine was born on June 7, 1936, in Sumter, South Carolina, to the late Earl Daniel Austin and Ethel Berry Austin. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and faithful friend whose life was centered around her family and her faith.
She was a longtime and active member of First Baptist Church in both Blytheville, Arkansas, and Dover, Tennessee, where she found great joy in worship and fellowship. Maxine married the love of her life, Clarence “OB” Kyle, on January 15, 1951, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and strong family values.
As a homemaker, Maxine took great pride in caring for her home and family. She was a wonderful cook who showed her love through the meals she prepared and the hospitality she shared with others. She was also an avid bowler and enjoyed spending her time needlepointing, crocheting, and sewing—creating many cherished handmade gifts for those she loved.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence “OB” Kyle, and six siblings.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Harold Kyle (Kathy) of Lubbock, Texas, Sheila Jacobi (Jim) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Deborah Armstrong (Charles) of Dover, Tennessee, and Jason Kyle (Tonya) of Dover, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Devan Jacobi of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Logan Kyle of Sussex, Wisconsin, and Austin Kyle of Dover, Tennessee; and her sister, Judy Prescott.
Maxine will be remembered for her warm heart, strong faith, generous spirit, and the love she poured into her family and friends. Her legacy of kindness and devotion will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her.
