West Tennessee Healthcare Sportsplex cleaning up after storm damage

JACKSON — The West Tennessee Healthcare Sportsplex in Jackson is cleaning up after storm damage.

Director of Operations Jason Compton said his grounds crew called early Tuesday after they found parts of the complex torn apart. They also found damage to scoreboards, signs and netting around the fields.

Compton said the sportsplex is still open for business and the season will go on, even if they have to make some adjustments.

“We’re gonna be open, we’re going to play the tournament,” Compton said. “Even if we have to have a little bit of modifications, a little bit of adjustments, there maybe some fields without a scoreboard. We may not have lights in a couple complexes. So, we may have to make some adjustments to complete play before it gets dark.”

For updates and schedule changes, the sportsplex is directing families to the West Tennessee Healthcare Sportsplex–Jackson, Tennessee social media pages.
