U.S. Marshals capture 2 men wanted for sex offenses in consecutive days

JACKSON, Tenn. (WBBJ) – The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force in Jackson arrested two men wanted for sex offenses in consecutive days.

Howard McDonald, 59, was arrested April 28, 2026, for Violation of the Sex Offender Registry. McDonald was convicted of Rape of a Child in Stewart County, TN.
As a registered sex offender, McDonald is required to report in the city or county where he resides. After failing to report to the Jackson Police Department, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
He was taken into custody at his residence at the Airways Motel in Jackson.
Jason Bedell, 44, was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force in Oxford, MS. Bedell was wanted in Prentiss County, MS on a charge of Child Fondling.
On April 29, 2026, Bedell was arrested at a residence on Craig Street in Jackson.
