Madison County Man Charged With Soliciting Minor

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — Jackson police have charged Dana Gantt, 24, of Madison County, with solicitation of a minor for asking a 15-year-old boy for sex. On Dec. 17, a Jackson mother reported to police that Gantt had sent her son text messages continuously asking him to engage in sexual acts. Police conducted an investigation and gathered forensic evidence. Investigators took Gantt into custody at his Madison County home around 10 a.m. today and transported him to the Madison County Jail. Gantt will have a bond set Tuesday morning and will be formally arraigned at 8 a.m. Thursday in Jackson City Court.
