JACKSON, Tenn. — Tennessee Highway Patrol will have a “No Refusal” enforcement campaign through the New Year’s holiday period. The period will begin Dec. 30 at 6 p.m. and run through Jan. 1 at 11:59 p.m. The “No Refusal” enforcement allows law enforcement officials to seek search warrants for blood samples in cases involving suspected impaired drivers. Nine people were killed in eight crashes last year including one in Weakley County. THP will conduct saturation patrols, seat belt, sobriety and driver’s license checkpoints and bar/tavern checks.
