Man shot in head with crossbow dies
GREENBACK, Tenn. (AP) – An East Tennessee man has died after being shot in the head with a crossbow while hunting.
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency told media outlets that 37-year-old William Nathan Norris died early Thursday after being shot on Wednesday. He had been deer hunting with a partner on private property in Loudon County.
Officials said the two were standing near each other when the crossbow discharged.
Authorities say they are investigating the shooting as an accident.
