Police Search for 22-Year-Old Woman Wanted for Taser Robbery

WEST JACKSON — Jackson police are searching for a woman wanted in a Tuesday afternoon robbery with a taser. Jennifer Morris, 22, is wanted on a charge of aggravated robbery. Police were called about the incident around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. A 76-year-old woman told officers that Morris, who is an acquaintance, came to her home on Ellis Drive around 2 p.m. The victim and Morris were discussing a matter. When the victim wasn’t looking, Morris tased her several times in the neck. The victim was able to knock the taser out of Morris’ hand. Morris then choked the victim. The victim asked Morris what she wanted, and Morris demanded money. The victim complied and wrote Morris a check. Morris then took the check and left the home. Investigators signed a warrant today for Morris’ arrest. Morris is a white woman, 5 feet tall and weighs 110 pounds. She has red hair and brown eyes. Her last known address is on Westwood Avenue in Jackson.
