Man Accused Of Trying To Kill His Girlfriend

BROWNSVILLE, Tenn-Neighbors recall the chilling moments they heard a child’s voice crying out for help, as the 6-year-old’s mother was violently attacked. “It was very scary,” Kathy Williams, a neighbor said. “It’s a lot of things happening up on this hill that shouldn’t,” another neighbor, Rev. Earnest Bailey, said. After hearing the screaming child, one neighbor immediately called the police. Police say when they responded, they saw Saravian Bond assaulting a woman, believed to be his girlfriend. According to reports, police had to wrestle Bond off of the victim and used a taser to subdue him after he resisted arrest. “It could have been a life taken last night,” Rev. Bailey said. Police said two other children were in the home at the time of the attack. Bond is being held in the Haywood County jail on an attempted first-degree murder charge.
