Englewood celebrates Easter with service at the Ballpark
JACKSON, Tenn. — It was a big day of celebration and a service that brought an entire community together hosted by Englewood Baptist Church.
“This is the biggest day of the year for those of us who are believers in Jesus, and we come together to celebrate,” said Pastor Travis Cottrell.
Hundreds of families gathered at the Ballpark of Jackson for an Easter celebration.
“I thought it was wonderful,” said attendee Brooke Longley. “We really enjoyed it. We enjoyed having Sandi Patty come, the choir and Travis. I really appreciate how much time they put into to this for all the families.”
“Just being able to be here with the whole church body. Hopefully all of the community came out,” said attendee Micheal Greenbank. “Wonderful event. Beautiful, beautiful day.”
The event was followed by an Easter egg hunt with 35,000 eggs.
“This is a way for all of us as a church family to be in one location, on one service and celebrate together. We don’t do it often, but, when we do, we love to be together,” Cottrell said.
