MILAN, Tenn.- The Milan City board approved adding a new drug coalition coordinator position to the city payroll. It was approved by a vote of 8 to 3 Tuesday night after close to 30 minutes of discussion. The question now is who will be permanently assigned to the post after a vote on the issue was tabled for now. Currently, Sherrie Smith, Mayor Chris Crider’s mother-in-law is serving as coordinator.
