Man Accused of Stealing More Than $55,000 Arrested

FLORENCE, Ala. — Authorities across West Tennessee believe the man responsible for stealing from their local Wal-Mart is behind bars. Christopher Timbes is suspected in at least 30 different thefts at Wal-Marts in Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas and Alabama. Officers estimate the former Wal-Mart employee made off with more than $55,000 in cash in a crime spree that dates back to 2011. Officers say Timbes is currently jailed in Florence, Ala. on theft and vandalism charges.
