Man Runs from Deputies, Charged with Attempted Carjacking

JACKSON, Tenn.- A Jackson man, likely to be sent back to jail, makes a run for it Monday and is now in jail charged with attempted carjacking. According to police, Monterius Bradford, 19, was recently arrested while out on bond and would have likely gone back to jail following Monday’s hearing at the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex. Deputies said he bolted, ran across the street and jumped in the car of a woman he did not know and tried to make her drive, however, she refused. Bradford was arrested a short time later and will be officially charged on new counts Tuesday morning.
