Midtown Burglary Suspects Arrested

JACKSON, Tenn.-Two suspects have been arrested in connection with several burglaries and thefts. Two juveniles both 16, are being held at the Madison County Juvenile Detention Center. An investigation by the Jackson Police Department‘s General Investigations Bureau led to these suspects. These incidents occurred during December 2013 and January 2014. The locations of these burglaries were in the 500 block of Burkett Street and the 100 block of Johnson Street. A resident of the Burkett Street house was at home during the burglary. That resident hid in a back room while the intruders took several items. The resident was not located by the burglars and was not harmed. These juveniles are also being charged with stealing an automobile from the 100 block of North Fairgrounds Street and two motorized mini-bikes from the 100 block of Campbell Street in January. These suspects live in the Midtown area as well. Investigators searched the suspects‘ house and found several stolen items. The items were returned to the owners. These items included computers, a firearm, stereo equipment and a television. Juvenile Court Judge Christy Little has ordered the suspects to be held until a hearing at a later date.
