UPDATE: Passenger in Plane Crash Transported To Vanderbilt

CHESTER CO. Tenn.,- Officials in Chester County say the woman on board the small plane that crash landed near Pinson is in serious condition in a Nashville hospital. Chester Co. Emergency Management Director, Johny Farris identifies the two on board as Bill Lyons, 50, and his wife Amber Lyons, 48. Farris tells WBBJ Amber was taken to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville with internal and neck injuries. “We’re certainly praying for her,” Farris stated. “Her injuries are pretty serious and were praying she makes it and comes out of this okay.” Although the couple was flying from Missouri to their home in Florence, AL, Farris said they both once lived in Chester Co. “He went to school here in the 80s and played basketball for Freed-Hardman. She grew up here in Chester County and her family was here for many years,” Farris said. Farris say the FAA and NTSB were on the scene of the plane crash Saturday morning, but it could take months to determine what the cause of the crash was. Clean up of the plane crash is expected to begin Sunday.
