Suspects Wanted in High Dollar Meat Theft at South Walmart

JACKSON, Tenn. — Two men are wanted for allegedly stealing high dollar meat from the South Highland Walmart, Jan. 26. Police were called to the Walmart on South Highland around 9 p.m. on Jan. 26 after a worker said she saw two black males at the register who appeared to not be scanning items. After reviewing the footage, the worker called police. The items stolen were as follows: eight packs of ribeye steaks, valued at $19.17 each; two packs of sausage links, valued at $5.98 each; and three sub sandwiches, valued at $5.98 each. Cameras caught one of the black males in a Walmart handicap scooter, wearing glasses, black shoes, black pants and a black shirt. The other was wearing a tan shirt and a multi-colored striped sweater. Anyone with information is asked to contact Jackson police or Crimestoppers at 731-424-TIPS.
