Marshals Capture Godwin

MILAN, Tenn.- U.S. Marshals arrested a wanted man in Milan, Monday. He had been on the run from police in Humboldt for more than two weeks. Marshals said a tip led them to a home on Cunningham Street where they found Marcus Godwin, 21. Officers said they recovered a handgun and narcotics during his arrest. Humboldt officers said on February 9 Godwin tried to rob a man outside his home on 20th Avenue using a sawed off shotgun. The victim shot him instead and still Godwin was able to get away. He faces counts of aggravated robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a prohibited weapon.
