Investigator: Man Steals Wallet From Office of Potential Employer

WEST JACKSON — Jackson police are searching for a man they say went into a building to look for a job, but walked out with someone else’s wallet, Monday afternoon. JPD responded to 213 Industrial Drive, which is the location of MAT Industries, for a theft report around 2:45 p.m. Upon arrival investigators learned that a wallet and its contents had been stolen from an office. The victim said she left her purse in her office and went out into the shop area. When she returned, she started gathering her belongings and discovered her wallet was missing from her purse. Security camera footage caught an unidentified white male going into the office at 1:40 and came out of the office a short time later and left the grounds of the property in a blue or greenish mini van. The contents of the wallet included the victim’s social security card, insurance card, debit and credit cards, driver license, checks and $150.
