Selmer Man Accused of Giving Drugs and Porn to Young Boys

SELMER, Tenn. – Eddie Wagoner is facing numerous charges after a concerned parent told officers he gave drugs to her 11-year-old son. “Mr. Wagoner’s nephew was also there,” said Patrolman Blake Huckabee with the Selmer Police Department. “He offered both of them marijuana. He told them it was a medicine to cure people.” Police said Wagoner also gave meth to his 12-year-old nephew, but the charges do not stop there. “Mr. Wagner offered the boys pornography on DVDs, and explained to them what they pornography would help them better in other situations,” Patrolman Huckabee said. Officers said this is not their first run-in with Wagoner, who was arrested on a separate drug charge less than a month ago. “Adults know better,” Patrolman Huckabee said. “They know what they’re doing with their life. When you hand a child drugs, it changes the entire issue.” Neighbors who did not want to be identified said Wagoner comes from a good family, but has always been a troublemaker. To them, his latest arrest was no surprise. “They say a tiger can’t change its stripes, and apparently it’s showing with him,” a neighbor said. “He’s had chance after chance.” Wagoner faces charges of aggravated child abuse, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and selling or loaning pornography to a minor.
