West Tennessee Storytellers
Genny Carter with the Archives Development Program for the Tennessee State Library & Archives will be the featured speaker and will address two recent projects of the state: Looking Back: The Civil War in Tennessee project and the Civil War GIS project. Additionally, she will address the historical significance of a specific Civil War artifact, an 1862 inventory ledger from Fort Donelson near Dover, Tennessee. The ledger is presently owned by one of the Storytellers. Ms. Carter is the daughter of former state senator Bobby Carter of Jackson.
