Fallen tree causes power outage

JACKSON, Tenn. — Heavy rainfall caused some damage in one local neighborhood.

The Jackson Fire Department was on the scene after a tree fell on Lambuth Boulevard between Westwood Avenue and Roland Avenue.

Fire officials say heavy amounts of rainfall left the ground saturated, causing the tree to fall over.

The tree could be seen blocking the road and knocking over power lines, leaving many without power.

Jackson Energy Authority was on the scene restoring power.
