JPD conducting weekend sobriety checkpoints
JACKSON, Tenn.- The Jackson Police Department is taking an extra step to keep drivers safe this weekend. Officers will conduct sobriety checkpoints throughout the city over the weekend. Their goal is to get impaired drivers off the road before they can hurt anyone else or themselves. “Whether or not you drink is a personal choice that every one makes. It can never be about whether to drink and drive. If you’ve been drinking, do not drive,” said Lt. Ron Adams of the Jackson Police Dept. This project funded solely by the Tennessee Governor’s Highway Safety Office.
