PARIS, Tenn. – The Henry County Sheriff’s Department is offering free 911 yard signs for residents of the county. The signs were purchased using $5,000 from probationary fees collected from the court system. No tax dollars were used. “They will have reflective numbers on it and this will increase response time by either deputies or EMS,” said Sheriff Monte Belew. All the residents have to do is call the Sheriff’s Department and they will come out and put the sign up. “I think it’s a fabulous thing. I live out in a rural area and if I needed them it’s a good feeling to know where to come when I call,” said Charles Paschall, Henry County Resident. This is the first year that the Sheriff’s Office has given out the free signs.
