Jackson Fire Department responds to home fire

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Fire Department responded to a fire in east Jackson.

According to fire officials, a home garage caught on fire due to a dog heat lamp.

The owner’s dog was inside at the time of the fire, but firefighters were able to rescue the dog.

No one was hurt and the fire is under investigation.
