Child passenger safety community event in Atoka
ATOKA, Tenn. (AP) – Officials in Tipton County are hosting a community event geared to educate parents and caregivers about the proper use of their children’s car seats.
Tipton County’s sheriff’s office and the Atoka Police Department are holding the Child Passenger Safety Checkpoint Community Event on Saturday.
During the event, trained technicians will provide hands-on assistance in the proper use of child restraints and seatbelts for any passengers. The technicians will have restraint devices on hand to provide a resource for those drivers who have recalled or outdated car seats.
The event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. in the parking lot of the Kroger on Highway 51 in Atoka.
