Worker dies at Wrigley plant
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) – Police say a worker at the Chattanooga Wrigley plant has died in an accident.
Media report the accident happened early Tuesday and authorities are investigating. The details of what happened weren’t immediately clear. About 400 people are employed at the plant.
Wrigley confirmed the fatal accident in a statement and said it was working with investigators but declined further comment
It is the second death at the facility. Media report 34-year-old Mandie Chitwood died in 2013 after suffering a head injury when she was struck by a forklift.
