Teen pulled from apartment blaze dies
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Fire officials say a teenager pulled from a burning apartment building in Knoxville has died.
Fire officials told WBIR-TV (http://on.wbir.com/1AvbPDu) that 17-year-old Martin Francisco died Sunday after suffering injuries in the blaze Saturday evening.
Crews who responded to the fire said smoke was billowing from a ground floor unit when they arrived. Firefighters had to break into the apartment, where they found the teen unconscious near the door.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
