Parkers Crossroads Spring Lantern Walk
MEDIA ADVISORY: PARKERS CROSSROADS BATTLEFIELD SPRING LANTERN WALK – March 28, 2015. The Parkers Crossroads Battlefield Association presents the Spring Lantern Walk Saturday, March 28, 2015 beginning at dusk (approx. 6:30 pm). Groups will be guided thru the battlefield by lantern light, with each walk lasting approximately 45 minutes. Interpreters will speak on various subjects of civilian and military interests. Prior to the walk guests will be able to tour a confederate encampment and talk with the soldiers. The 52nd Regimental String Band will provide Period music. Visitors are asked to register at tour stop 7 which is located south of I-40. Turn east onto Federal Lane traveling approximately 1/4 mile to the battlefield parking area.
