BayBears spoil Howell’s first game as skipper

The Mobile BayBears defeated the Jackson Generals 8-0 in game one of the three-game series. Wednesday’s contest also was the debut of new manager Roy Howell. The former hitting coach takes over for Jim Horner, who accepted an assistant position at Washington State. Jackson and Mobile return to action on Thursday at 7:05 p.m.
